Position Overview: Service Desk Tech
Service Desk Tech to be able to offer technical help and customer care to the customers without necessarily being in the same place. In order to make sure that the clients get satisfactory services, and that the issues of the customers are resolved in the first contact. He or she must possess good technical knowledge and be able to communicate so as to get an understanding of the problem, empathize, and suggest a solution as soon as possible. To make sure that user questions or problems are registered, authorized, and prioritized for action. To make sure that different kinds of information or updates are passed on to users through the right channels.
Your role as the (Service Desk Tech):
The qualifications mentioned below, representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required, are as follows. Changes can be variously provided to overcome the issue of persons with disabilities performing the necessary functions.
- Be the first face of technical support to customers who want to consult help in different ways such as phone, chat, and email.
- Core IT Support experience, servicing customers across the world (24*7).
- Have experience in troubleshooting and configuration of desktop hardware and peripherals.
- The skill to operate in a team atmosphere and the ability to communicate via chat systems (e.g, Microsoft Teams, Skype, etc.)
- Familiar operating experience with computer operating systems (Windows), hardware diagnosis/ installation, and software installation /troubleshooting.
- Having worked in a high-paced environment.
- Good customer service experience.
- Must have excellent communication skills.
- Creating Graphical records of tickets in real time.
- Skills to do work under the SLA.
- Carry out distant problem solving using diagnostic methods and relevant questions.
- Find the most appropriate solution by referring to the SOPs / KBs of the issue and related details given by the customers.
- Take the customer through the problem-solving process.
- Send unresolved problems forward to senior support staff.
- Inform properly about IT products or services.
- Diary log of incidents and issues, and how they were overcome.
- Follow and update the status and information of the customers
- When internalizing customer feedback, pass on to the relevant internal team any feedback and suggestions from the customers.
- Find and propose potential enhancements of procedures & KB articles.
- Knowledge of computer systems, mobile devices, and other technology products
- The capability of diagnosis and solutions to simple technical problems in a shorter time.
- Constant hour rotation shift.
