What you are expected to do and achieve as a Cloud Engineer

  • Excellent skill at solving issues, upholding proper workflow and noticing small details.
  • Ability to use analysis and strong foundations in data structures and algorithms.
  • Proven proficiencies in verbal and written communication.
  • Familiarity with setting up and operating solutions on Kubernetes (having OpenShift experience is ideal).
  • Has the ability to take care of several customer accounts and projects all at once
  • Understanding of hybrid-cloud software systems as well as SaaS, IaaS, PaaS and other cloud applications.
  • The skill to handle work in stressful circumstances.
  • Understanding virtualization, packaging, portability, Container technologies, Kubernetes, Docker and virtualization is necessary.
  • Management, REST API, Catalog Services, Micro ServicesDevOps CICD, Jenkins, Travis and Python/java/c programming
  • Being familiar with Observability Solutions and tools
  • Creating and deploying systems using cloud native techniques
  • Understanding the best approaches and ideas in cloud security matters a lot
  • Having a good understanding of networking concepts is very important.

Technical and professional qualifications are necessary for a Cloud Engineer

  • Have experience using c/c++, Python, Java and all the necessary tools for automation and CI/CD (Terraform, Ansible, Jenkins and GitHub Actions).
  • Experience in working with Linux packages, container technologies, Kubernetes, Docker, Virtualization Management, REST API, Catalog Services, Micro Services, DevOps, CICD Jenkins, Travis and using Python/Java/C programming
  • Knowing about Observability Solutions and tools
  • Developing and running code in the cloud.
  • The capability to unite stakeholders, accept their roles and update them about the status
  • People in management need to be good at communicating, solving problems and working with others.
  • Creating and carrying out unit, functional and integration test cases.
  • Experience using Selenium, Terraform, Ansible and Jenkins tools
  • Familiarity with transferring packages, Systems experience and exposure to Catalog Services, Micro Services will be useful.
