IBM Associate System Engineer – Hyderabad | 0–1 Years Experience

Position Overview

IBM is looking for candidates for the Associate System Engineer position in Hyderabad, Telangana. This is an entry-level role associated with the IBM Consulting FutureNow Centers, where technical teams support public and private sector clients with technology adoption and solution delivery.

The position focuses on Application Development in Cognitive Process Automation. Work in this area involves taking defined processes and turning them into cognitive solutions that can improve service delivery.

What the Position Involves

The role requires interaction with clients as well as internal professionals such as Automation Project Managers and RPA Architects. Together, the teams work on developing and delivering solutions from the initial process definition through implementation.

Some of the main areas of work include:

Developing cognitive solutions with Watson APIs, Watsonx products, and Cognitive Assistance accelerators including Agent Assist and User Assist.
Working with clients, Automation Project Managers, and RPA Architects during end-to-end solution delivery.
Using IDCP and the IBM Consulting Advantage Platform, along with Methodx, assets, and assistants, during solution development.
Applying Cognitive Process Automation concepts to design and implement solutions aligned with client requirements.
Coordinating with project teams and stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle to support solution delivery.

Educational Qualification

A Bachelor’s Degree is listed as the required education for this position.

The preferred education level is also a Bachelor’s Degree.

Required Technical Knowledge

Applicants should have exposure to Cognitive Process Automation, particularly the conversion of process definitions into optimized cognitive solutions using Watson APIs and Watsonx products.

Knowledge of Watsonx Orchestrate and Watsonx Assistant is also expected. Candidates should understand how these tools can be used when designing and implementing cognitive solutions.

The required technical background also covers:

Agent Assist and User Assist, including their use in cognitive solution development.
IDCP and the IBM Consulting Advantage Platform, with basic familiarity with Methodx, assets, and assistants.
Collaborative solution delivery involving project teams and stakeholders.

Preferred Experience

Some additional technical exposure is listed as preferred rather than required. This includes familiarity with using Watson APIs to develop optimized cognitive solutions and basic knowledge of working with IDCP assets.

Candidates may also benefit from familiarity with other Cognitive Assistance accelerators beyond Agent Assist and User Assist.
