Job Summary
HCLTech is looking for a Computer Vision Engineer II who will build robust, production-ready computer vision pipelines that solve real-world problems in surveillance, industrial automation, and smart spaces. Fresh graduates or those with one year of experience (traditional and deep learning-based) with the software development skills needed to automate, optimize, and integrate vision models into scalable platforms.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Build, integrate, and optimize end-to-end computer vision pipelines: from image/video ingestion to pre-processing, inference, post-processing, and metadata generation.
- Initiate and fine-tune state-of-the-art vision processes for tasks such as object detection, tracking, re-identification, segmentation, anomaly detection, and OCR.
- Develop and manage automated training processes and evaluation pipelines (MLOps) that streamline model upgrades, benchmarking, and deployment across edge and cloud environments.
- You will work closely with platform engineers to optimize vision models for latency and throughput using tools like TensorRT, OpenVINO, DeepStream, or ONNX Runtime.
- Develop tools and scripts for database management: automated annotation, quality-check processes, synthetic record generation, and active learning loops.
- Troubleshoot vision performance tickets in diverse real-world conditions (lighting, occlusion, camera angles) and implement algorithmic fixes or data-centric improvements.
- Document vision pipeline architecture, model interfaces, performance benchmarks, and deployment guides for internal and external consumers.
Required Skills
- Should have good knowledge of C++ or Python.
- Good understanding of Computer Vision fundamentals.
- Exposure to core CV libraries &frameworks.
- Hands-on experience through projects or internships building and evaluating vision models.
- Familiarity with video processing concepts.
- Understanding of software engineering basics.
- Strong analytical skills to evaluate vision performance.
