Work you’ll be required to do as IT Asset Management Work
- When you are an Analyst in IT Asset management, you are expected to perform the following responsibilities.
- Using Asset Management tools and techniques in practice, managing what is in inventory, ensuring responsible tracking and optimum security
- Counting the inventory manually and checking the stock with data;
- Ensure that all stakeholders are able to add data into tracking systems on time.
- Always follow the set rules and procedures for IT security and asset management.
- Being conversant with the ServiceNow ticketing tool is necessary.
- Basic understanding of purchasing IT Assets
- The process of understanding the assets an organization holds and safely getting rid of them when needed.
- Managing inventory in a way that helps it be used effectively
- Ensuring timely input of data into tracking systems, together with all involved parties
- Take actions as required based on the guidance from management.
- Monitors stock levels by taking physical counts; compares them with the data saved in the system

Qualifications
Required:
- You may have an BE/BTech in IT, Mechanical or another engineering specialization from a Tier 2 or Tier 3 university, or you could have an MBA in Finance or Operations Management and you should possess an ITIL Foundation Certificate
- Experience of up to 3 years in handling IT asset management is required.
- You can also choose an Additional Diploma in asset, inventory and supply chain management.
