Job Responsibilities
The Test Engineer will be responsible for supporting manufacturing test activities and helping maintain the quality of hardware and software products.
Key responsibilities include:
- Provide test engineering support for manufacturing test processes, including weekend support when required.
- Help gather testing requirements and prepare basic test plans and test cases.
- Follow established risk management plans and execute test automation scripts.
- Track and document testing progress, execution results and identified issues.
- Work alongside test technicians, providing guidance and sharing testing best practices.
- Coordinate with development engineers and leadership by reporting test results.
- Work with external validation partners to establish test plans and improve test coverage across multiple testing organisations.
Eligibility Criteria
Candidates applying for this position should meet the following essential requirements:
- Associate’s degree in Electronics, Computer Science or a related field.
- Understanding of server hardware, software system architecture and how different components interact.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
- Knowledge of computer networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, DNS and VLANs.
- Ability to read and understand technical documentation.
Preferred Qualifications
The following qualifications and skills are desirable:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or a related field.
- Familiarity with the Linux operating system, including common commands and utilities.
