Job Description

Cognizant announced a hiring for the engineering program. A Selected cohort of high-potential candidates who are Artificial Intelligence builders and ready to contribute to real client solutions to challenges by using different tools, latest architectures, and results-oriented methods. As a Full Stack AI Developer, you will be contributing to a small, high-caliber group implementing focused, very high-impact engagements across clients and industries. 

AI-Native Engineering

• Develop User Interface elements, REST APIs, and end-to-end workflows by leveraging LLMs, snippet assistants, and Artificial Intelligence agents
• Develop prompt templates, structured proper outputs, and tool-calling patterns for production use
• Design Artificial Intelligence – first workflows: RAG pipelines, agentic systems, and tool orchestration
• Implement good-tuned or hosted Artificial Intelligence models into Software stacks

Skills and technologies

Programming and Frameworks: Python, Java / .NET, JavaScript / TypeScript, React / Angular, REST APIs, SQL

Artificial Intelligence & Large Language Models: Embeddings, RAG pipelines, AI Prompt engineering & proper structured outputs, LLM orchestration (LangChain / LangGraph / CrewAI / AutoGen), AI coding assistants (GitHub Copilot, Claude)

Cloud & DevOps: AWS, Azure, or GCP, Git, CI or CD pipelines, Containers, and cloud-native services

Artificial Evaluation & Operations: Artificial quality metrics, Monitoring and guardrails, Cost and latency optimisation, Fallback and degradation strategies

Good to Have: Vector Database concepts, Streamlit or FastAPI, RAGAS or DeepEval, Kubernetes, Event-driven architectures

Required Skillset:

• Freshers graduating in 2026 with BE / BTech / ME / M.Tech. 
• Similar Workflow exposure in Artificial Intelligence-enabled full-stack will be an advantage.
• Execute excellent performance in Computer Science fundamentals and Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning works – through college work, open source, live hackathons, or personal build projects.
• Must have a good portfolio of Artificial Intelligence – enabled or full-stack projects.
• Great interest and curiosity for Artificial Intelligence tools, agents, and the future of the software engineering program.

Must have documents for the technical interview:

• Should have all the college documents, including the college Identity 
• Identity card (if available), school/college, UG and PG mark sheets, and degree certificate.

Must have documents for onboarding: 

• The final stage of the onboarding after the background verification check.
• PAN is a mandatory document for onboarding. If you didn’t have it, kindly apply as soon as possible. 
• A voter’s identity card or Passport will be a mandatory document to verify your citizenship.
• An Aadhar card is mandatory for onboarding.

Note: Only shortlisted graduates will be notified by mail for the interview. Final results on graduates screening, eligibility for test, technical interview, and final interview will be at the sole discretion of Cognizant.
