- Backend and CLI work: Develop and maintain backend code as well as command-line interfaces (CLI) using Python and C++, with an emphasis on simplifying complex engineering setups.
- Platform compatibility: Refactor legacy scripts for reliable use on Windows (WSL2) and Linux. This includes replacing hardcoded OS dependencies with dynamic environment variables.
- Simulation data integration: Handle JSON, XML, and YAML serialization formats to establish standardized communication and automated data exchange between different simulation tools.
- CI/CD validation: Create automated validation scripts, including linters, that execute within Jenkins CI/CD pipelines. These checks are used to identify errors, maintain coding standards, and stop problematic code from affecting the platform.
- Developer experience improvements: Make internal tools easier to use by managing software exceptions and producing clear, human-readable error messages together with fix hints.
- Software testing: Develop unit tests and support automated stress-testing activities to confirm that software packages install and function properly under varying conditions.
